We chose Alun at Amethyst Kitchens to design and plan our new kitchen as he came highly recommended from two separate members of our family who had also hired him to design their new kitchens.

From the beginning Alun’s communication with us was first class. He was always on time for appointments and nothing was too much trouble. We have a medium sized kitchen and utility room and we were keen that one should flow into the other seamlessly. We would have liked an island but after careful thought and consideration Alun spoke with us and we came to the conclusion there wasn’t quite enough space for one so he suggested a ‘peninsular’ instead and we love it! He has used every available space and even managed to create a dedicated space for our cat’s food storage and litter tray! We also have a lot of recycling and again he incorporated two spaces for that – one in the kitchen and one in the utility room. He was quite happy for us to suggest minor alterations to his designs and always came back to us with revised plans very speedily. He left us with brochures and samples so we could make decisions on what exactly we would like and there was never any pressure from him for us to make hasty decisions. We now have what can only be described as our dream kitchen with more cupboard space than we could have ever imagined as having and a very practical utility area with broom cupboard, beautiful appliances and plenty of other storage.

We would also like to give a shout out to Mark and his team who did a great job with the installation process and we would not hesitate in recommending him to work to realise Alun’s designs with future clients.
Our final ‘signing off’ visit from Alun was a very happy occasion celebrating together our wonderful new kitchen. We thoroughly recommend Alun to work with you! You will not be disappointed!
